I miss old school DA and all the friends I've made since I joined. Some of my favorite writers don't write here anymore which is saddening 
I'm taking the time to write this journal just to catch up with anyone who wants to catch up 
So, news with me:
*ahem*
I failed fourth year of college. Miserably. There was no way I could do an entire year of course work over the summer, and I couldn't afford to repeat the year, so I opted to accept the ordinary degree for completing 3rd year. I graduate in November ^_^
Things have been slightly turned upside down since I had been evicted from my last address. It was really out of the blue and I was annoyed my landlord didn't have the balls to contact me (he just slipped a note under my door O.o). To be fair, there was no written contract, but I was so annoyed that I just upped and left without saying a word to him. Haven't been in contact with him since.
I am currently living with a few friends in a slightly smaller house. It's a bit more expensive but it's a good house (not mouldy and cold like the last place). I also don't have to put up with obnoxious party people anymore which is also a win
Sadly, my cat ran away a few weeks after I moved. I miss him a lot and keep dreaming that he'll come back to me. Should have neutered the bugger >.>
I haven't been able to afford rent yet.... I have my deposit on the room but since I paid that, my finances have been unstable... I've been only getting half a weeks wage the last few weeks because of stupid complicated reasons I won't get into. Also, I've had five birthdays to attend since the second last week of September, two of which were my Dad's and my sister's. So yeah, I'm broke
Things are sorta slightly getting back to normal now though and I think I'll be able to pay rent tomorrow.I don't know what to do with myself now that I've finished college. The whole failing fourth year thing has trampled my confidence as an industry standard programmer, so I don't know who would remotely hire me. I was thinking of taking the year out to study web design at home since it's pretty popular round these parts.
I'm writing again. I think it's really the only thing that comes naturally to me. I've had 5 years of writer's block while I was in college, but now that I have the time and the mindset, I'm starting to swing back into it. I'm still a little rusty though. I'm currently working on a (hopefully) novel length story. I think it hits a very small demographic though so I'm not sure if it can be published.
